Trauttmansdorff Castle in Merano takes the visitor on a tour explaining the development of tourism in South Tyrol. The adjacent botanical gardens show a great variety of colours as well as all the different vegetation areas in Central Europe.

Experience moments of great sport in Schenna swimming in the public pool and enjoying the panoramic view, or playing miniature golf. Try the Merano 2000 Alpine bob run, which is the first bob run on rails in South Tyrol opened all year long as well as the longest in the whole of Italy. Bowling, horse riding, hiking and tennis are equally part of what you can do during your vacation in Schenna. If you’d like to play golf, we recommend you to go to St. Martin where you’ll find an excellent 18 hole golf course or else to Lana where you can play on the attractive 9 hole golf course. If you feel the need for more exercise in your vacation, you should try the Nature.Fitness.Park in Schenna with its 7 Nordic Walking routes. Or, if you are particularly brave, you will be taken by activities such as mountain biking, paragliding, rafting, canyoning or trying the challenging high ropes course on the Taseralm Alp above Schenna.
